It is not easy being a single gal in the great big world today. Especially a single gal who is over the age of 30. I put my career first and my love life second. As a result, I have noticed that all the good ones are taken. I always thought that was a cliche. I have had enough blind dates, set-ups, and bad experiences to almost make me give up dating. If it were not for the Internet and dating sites, I do not know what I would do in this crazy world of trying to find true love.
When I turned to online dating and dating sites, I was very hesitant. I feared meeting only desperate, strange men. I also feared that they would think the same thing about me. My first few dates that I arranged online actually went quite well. I thought this thing may be exactly what I was looking for. I was very surprised to find so many people using dating sites. However when I stopped to think about it, quite literally in a coffee shop, I took a look around and noticed everyone using their laptops and their Blackberries or IPhone. Then I wasn’t surprised at all anymore because we now live in the digital age.
So I continued with the Dating Websites. I do have to admit that there were a few times that I almost gave up. I had some really terrible encounters with crazy men, married men and even a woman pretending to be a man. I wouldn’t change any of it because the experience really helped me grow as a person . Also, and perhaps more importantly, the experience of using dating sites also led me to meet my husband. Yes, I am another success story. It is quite amazing how many of us there are now. It only makes sense if you think about it. Instead of restricting your dating pool to such a small limited group, you basically open it up to the entire world. You go from five men who are quite interesting to five hundred men that you can pick and choose from.
